Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Sentient Earth Intelligence Platform, its APIs, or any associated services (collectively, "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use our Services. Continued use following any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Sentient provides an Earth Intelligence Platform that includes, but is not limited to:

— Satellite imagery tasking and archive access — AI-powered geospatial analytics and environmental monitoring — Change detection, risk assessment, and intelligence reporting — APIs for integration into third-party workflows and systems — Dashboard and visualization tools for geospatial data

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time with reasonable notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of Services.

Registration To access most features, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Account Security You must notify us immediately at security@sentient.earth upon becoming aware of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your credentials.

Eligibility You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Services. Use of the Services is void where prohibited by applicable law.

Enterprise Accounts Organizations may grant access to multiple users under a single enterprise account. The account administrator is responsible for managing user permissions and ensuring all users comply with these Terms.

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

— Use the Services to conduct or facilitate illegal surveillance, espionage, or activities that violate human rights — Collect or process data in ways that violate applicable privacy laws or our Privacy Policy — Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services, other accounts, or connected systems — Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any component of the platform — Resell, sublicense, or redistribute data or Services without prior written consent — Use the Services to generate or distribute misleading, fraudulent, or defamatory content — Overload or interfere with the platform's infrastructure through excessive automated requests — Use the Services in connection with weapons development, military targeting, or armed conflict operations

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and to suspend or terminate accounts without notice where we determine a violation has occurred.

Satellite Imagery Satellite imagery delivered through the platform is licensed from third-party providers. Your use of imagery is subject to the applicable provider's end-user license agreement in addition to these Terms. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from licensed imagery beyond the scope of your subscription.

Open Data Where the platform provides access to open-access or public domain imagery, such data is subject to its respective open license (e.g., Copernicus Open Access, Landsat USGS). Sentient makes no additional restrictions on open data beyond those imposed by the original license.

Analytics Outputs Analytics, reports, and derivative intelligence products generated by Sentient's AI models and delivered to you are licensed for your internal business use. You may share outputs with your clients and stakeholders, but may not represent them as independently produced or resell them as standalone data products without a commercial reseller agreement.

Your Data You retain ownership of the data, queries, and content you submit to the platform. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of delivering the Services.

All rights, title, and interest in the Sentient platform, including its software, AI models, algorithms, user interface, documentation, and branding, are owned by or licensed to Sentient. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership interest in our intellectual property.

The Sentient name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Sentient. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written consent.

Feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit regarding the platform may be used by us without restriction or compensation.

Fees Access to certain features requires a paid subscription or pay-per-use credits. Pricing is as published on our pricing page or as agreed in an enterprise contract. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

Billing Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Pay-per-use charges are billed at the end of each billing cycle. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as expressly stated in an enterprise agreement.

Taxes You are responsible for all applicable taxes associated with your use of the Services, except where Sentient is required by law to collect taxes on your behalf.

Suspension for Non-Payment We reserve the right to suspend access to the Services if payment is not received within 14 days of the due date.

No Warranty The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that imagery or analytics will be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

Analytics Accuracy AI-derived analytics, detections, and predictions are probabilistic in nature and may contain errors. You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on platform outputs. Sentient does not accept liability for actions taken or not taken based on analytics results.

Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sentient's total liability to you for any claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.

In no event shall Sentient be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

By You You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@sentient.earth. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of unused prepaid fees.

By Sentient We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for cause, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, non-payment, or suspected fraudulent or illegal activity. We will provide reasonable notice except where immediate action is required to protect the platform or other users.

Effect of Termination Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — shall continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Valencia, Spain.

For users located in the European Union, you may also bring disputes before the competent courts of your member state of residence.

Before initiating legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at legal@sentient.earth to seek an amicable resolution.

Entire Agreement These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any enterprise agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sentient regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements.

Modifications We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-platform notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Severability If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

No Waiver Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
